Filled with Gratitude - Number 3 - A New Box of Crayons

Crayons.......what can I say?


They make me smile.

Just opening a box of crayons takes me away..........

The scent....the colors....the anticipation.....

I am filled with gratitude for an inexpensive box of crayons

and a few sheets of paper.... that...

can create in me a new moment in which

time stops and art flows.

I am filled with gratitude for the memories I have of

coloring and drawing with my girls when they were little...

giggling as we colored........

I look forward to new memories and

new boxes of 64 colors with a sharpener in the back.

I look forward to losing time while making art.

What a simple pleasure.

What a blessing.

They remind me to be filled with gratitude.........
